Understand your options first
There are two types of call forwarding. Understanding the difference takes thirty seconds and affects how Telphi fits into your day.
Forward all calls (`21*number#`)** – every call goes straight to Telphi without ringing your phone first. Use this only when you want Telphi to handle everything, for example during a site visit where you cannot pick up under any circumstances.
Conditional forwarding – your phone rings as normal. Telphi only answers your calls when you cannot. There are three separate conditions:
- No answer (`61*number#`)** – forwards if you do not pick up within a set number of rings.
- Busy (`67*number#`)** – forwards if your line is already in use.
- Unreachable (`62*number#`)** – forwards if your phone is off or out of signal.
Recommended setup: enable all three conditional rules. Your phone rings normally when you are free. Any call you cannot answer, Telphi catches.
Before you start
You will need your Telphi number. Find it in the Telphi app under Settings → Your Telphi number. It is a standard UK mobile number starting with 07.
EE
EE uses standard GSM codes. All four codes below are supported.
Recommended setup (conditional forwarding)
- Open your phone's dialler.
- Dial
**61*YOUR_TELPHI_NUMBER**20#and press call. This sets a 20-second ring before forwarding on no answer. You can replace20with 5, 10, 15, 25, or 30 seconds. - When you see a confirmation message, the rule is active.
- Repeat for busy: dial
**67*YOUR_TELPHI_NUMBER#and press call. - Repeat for unreachable: dial
**62*YOUR_TELPHI_NUMBER#and press call.
Example (replace 07700900123 with your Telphi number throughout):
**61*07700900123**20#
**67*07700900123#
**62*07700900123#Forward all calls (optional alternative)
**21*07700900123#Check your settings
*#61# check no-answer forwarding
*#67# check busy forwarding
*#62# check unreachable forwarding
*#21# check forward-all statusTurn it all off
Dial ##002# and press call. This cancels every forwarding rule in one step.
To cancel individual rules:
##61# cancel no-answer
##67# cancel busy
##62# cancel unreachable
##21# cancel forward-allVoicemail note
EE's voicemail runs on the same conditional forwarding routes. If you dial ##002#, you will also remove voicemail forwarding. To disable only the no-answer route to voicemail (freeing it for Telphi) without touching other rules, dial ##61# before setting up your Telphi no-answer rule. You can also manage call diverts in the My EE app.
O2
O2 uses the same GSM codes as EE.
Recommended setup (conditional forwarding)
- Open your dialler.
- Dial
**61*YOUR_TELPHI_NUMBER#and press call (no-answer). - Dial
**67*YOUR_TELPHI_NUMBER#and press call (busy). - Dial
**62*YOUR_TELPHI_NUMBER#and press call (unreachable).

**21*07700900123#Check your settings
*#61#
*#67#
*#62#
*#21#Turn it all off
##002# cancel all forwarding rules at onceTo cancel individual rules: #61#, #67#, #62#, #21#.
To re-enable a rule without re-entering the number: *61#, *67#, *62#, *21#.
Voicemail note
O2's voicemail is set as the default destination for no-answer, busy, and unreachable. Setting your own forwarding number with the codes above overwrites the voicemail destination for that condition. You can also manage diverts in the My O2 app or by calling 202.
Vodafone
Vodafone uses GSM codes but sets voicemail as the default conditional destination. You need to clear the existing voicemail forwarding rules before adding Telphi, or your calls may still reach voicemail.
Step 1 – clear existing conditional forwarding
Dial ##004# and press call. This removes all conditional (no-answer, busy, unreachable) forwarding including the default voicemail routes. Voicemail will no longer intercept calls after this step.
Step 2 – set up conditional forwarding to Telphi
- Dial
**61*YOUR_TELPHI_NUMBER**20#(no-answer, 20-second ring time). - Dial
**67*YOUR_TELPHI_NUMBER#(busy). - Dial
**62*YOUR_TELPHI_NUMBER#(unreachable).

*#62#
*#21#Turn it all off
##004# cancel all conditional forwarding
##21# cancel forward-all (if active)Vodafone app
You can also manage call divert under Settings → Call divert in the My Vodafone app.
Three
Three supports GSM dial codes but voicemail can conflict with conditional forwarding. Disable voicemail first if calls are going to voicemail rather than Telphi.
Step 1 – disable voicemail (if needed)
If Three's voicemail is active, it may claim the no-answer and unreachable routes before Telphi can. To disable it, dial ##002# and press call.
To restore voicemail later, text VOICEMAIL ON to 30044.
Step 2 – set up conditional forwarding
- Dial
**61*YOUR_TELPHI_NUMBER#and press call (no-answer). - Dial
**67*YOUR_TELPHI_NUMBER#and press call (busy). - Dial
**62*YOUR_TELPHI_NUMBER#and press call (unreachable).

giffgaff
giffgaff runs on O2's network and uses identical GSM codes.

Note on forwarding costs
giffgaff charges for forwarded calls at the same rate as outgoing calls to that number. Your Telphi number is a standard UK mobile number, so forwarding uses minutes from your allowance or standard out-of-bundle rates.
Sky Mobile
Sky Mobile supports standard GSM codes. There is no known network quirk that blocks conditional forwarding.
Recommended setup (conditional forwarding)
- Dial
**61*YOUR_TELPHI_NUMBER#and press call (no-answer). - Dial
**67*YOUR_TELPHI_NUMBER#and press call (busy). - Dial
**62*YOUR_TELPHI_NUMBER#and press call (unreachable).

##002#You can also manage forwarding through the Sky Mobile app or your Sky account online.
BT landline
BT landline call diversion uses star codes, but the feature may not be active on your line by default. BT Digital Voice customers have it included. If you are on a traditional BT line, you may need to add Call Diversion first via bt.com, which can take up to 24 hours to activate.
Important: costs
Diverting a landline is not free. BT charges you the per-minute rate for every call forwarded, at the same rate as if you dialled that number yourself. Diverting to a mobile costs more than diverting to another landline. Check your BT plan for your specific rates.
Conditional forwarding (recommended)
BT landlines support no-answer and busy diversion. There is no dedicated unreachable code for landlines.
- Pick up the handset.
- Dial
*61*YOUR_TELPHI_NUMBER#for no-answer diversion (forwards after approximately 15 seconds). - Listen for a confirmation tone or announcement.
- Dial
*67*YOUR_TELPHI_NUMBER#for busy diversion.
*61*07700900123# no-answer
*67*07700900123# busyForward all calls (optional alternative)

*#21# check forward-all
*#61# check no-answer
*#67# check busyTurn it off
#21# cancel forward-all
#61# cancel no-answer
#67# cancel busyBT Digital Voice
Digital Voice customers can also set up diversion through the handset menu: Calling Features → Call Diversion → Set Up, then enter the number and confirm.
Note on 1571 voicemail
BT's 1571 answering service is a separate service from call diversion and does not use the same codes. If you use 1571, it may answer calls after a fixed number of rings regardless of your call diversion settings. To ensure Telphi answers before 1571, set your diversion delay shorter than the 1571 pick-up time, or contact BT to discuss disabling 1571.
Turn everything off
To remove all active forwarding rules in one step on any GSM mobile network (EE, O2, Vodafone, Three, giffgaff, Sky Mobile):
##002#Dial it and press call. You will see a confirmation message. Your phone returns to its default state.
Troubleshooting: forwarding not working
Work through this list in order.
1. Is forwarding actually active? Dial *#61# and press call. The screen should show the number forwarding is set to. If it shows nothing, forwarding is not set. Re-run the setup steps.
2. Is voicemail intercepting calls first? This is the most common problem. Your network's voicemail may be set to answer before your forwarding rule fires. See the voicemail notes in your carrier's section above. On most networks, dialling ##61# removes the voicemail route for no-answer calls specifically, leaving other voicemail routes intact.
3. Did you include the full number? The Telphi number in the dial code must be the full 07-prefix number, no spaces. For example: **61*07700900123#.
4. Is your plan blocking call diversion? Some budget SIM-only plans disable call diversion. Check your plan details or call your network. On giffgaff, call forwarding is included on all goody bags; on other networks, older PAYG plans may not include it.
5. Did you wait for confirmation? After dialling a code, you should see a confirmation message within a few seconds. If you do not, end the call and try again. Some networks take a moment to update.
6. Dual-SIM phone? If your phone has two SIMs, make sure you dialled the code on the SIM that holds your business number, not the other one. Forwarding is set per SIM.
7. Reset and start clean. Dial ##002# to clear all rules, then set up from scratch.
FAQ
Yes, if you use conditional forwarding (the recommended setup). Your phone rings as normal; Telphi only answers when you do not.
Use forward-all: 21YOURTELPHINUMBER#. Your phone will not ring; every call goes directly to Telphi.
On mobile, forwarded calls use your inclusive minutes or standard out-of-bundle rates, depending on your plan. Most unlimited plans include forwarding at no extra cost. On BT landlines, you are charged per minute.
On EE and Vodafone, yes. The extended code 61NUMBER20# sets a 20-second ring; replace 20 with 5, 10, 15, 25, or 30. On O2, Three, giffgaff, and Sky Mobile, the ring time is set by the network (typically 15–20 seconds) and cannot be customised via dial code.
The unreachable rule (62NUMBER#) handles this. Any call made while your phone is off or out of coverage goes straight to Telphi. I set everything up but calls still go to voicemail. Your network's voicemail is claiming the forwarding route before Telphi. See the voicemail note in your carrier section and the troubleshooting steps above.
Yes. Dial ##002# at any time to cancel all forwarding. Your number returns to its normal state instantly. ---
